Scaddan Energy Project

The Scaddan Energy Project is a joint venture between Blackham Resources Limited and Wesfarmers Premier Coal Limited (Premier Coal) which have 70% and 30% contributing interests respectively. The joint venture covers the exploration, mining and downstream processing associated with the development of the Project. The Joint Venture has over 30 years worth exploration, drilling and development test work completed for the Project.

Blackham and Premier Coal will be required to contribute proportionately to all costs incurred in furthering exploration and evaluating the development of the Coal to Liquids processing for the project.

The Scaddan Energy Project is located approximately 60 kilometres north of the town and port of Esperance in Western Australia. The Project is 10 kilometres east of the Esperance to Kalgoorlie highway, gas pipeline and railway line.

The Scaddan Energy Project has 760 million tonnes of lignite resources and the joint venturers’ control landholdings in the Scaddan region is in excess of 70,000 hectares.
